Lighting room map
TRC lighting room map
Generated 2026-09-26 from files on greg-mbp plus passive network observation from this Mac. Machine-readable copy: rooms.json in this folder.
Proof levels: - PROVEN: seen in a console export, a config file, a git history, or measured from this Mac today. - STATED: someone wrote it in a plan, a note, a message or an inventory. - UNVERIFIED: my inference from the sources; treat as a guess until checked.
The short answer
TRC has one network-controlled lighting rig: the Studio A Live Room stage, 40 fixtures on DMX universe 1 plus 288 LED-strip pixel cells on universes 8 and 9. It is driven by the LightDesk server and grandMA3 onPC on a Windows touch PC whose user profile and git identity are named "Tiny Room". Per the latest notes, the rig's DMX comes from LightDesk as sACN universe 1 into a Netron EN4 that sits on the lighting PC's own Ethernet port at link-local 169.254.20.48, so a laptop on the studio LAN cannot reach that node. A second node, the Pknight CR011R, is on the studio LAN at 192.168.1.61 and answered in this Mac's ARP table today, but it is not wired to the rig (3-pin vs 5-pin XLR). No other room has any documented DMX, Art-Net or sACN control. The studio LAN is one flat 192.168.1.0/24 with no documented VLANs, so the subnet alone cannot tell a laptop which room it is in.
"Tiny Room" is the Live Room
The LightDesk repo calls itself "Tiny Room" everywhere (git author LightDesk (Tiny Room) <lightdesk@tinyroom.local>, Windows paths C:\Users\Tiny Room\lightdesk, a look named TINY ROOM). No room of that name exists in the building model (26 rooms, /Users/gregspero/trc-twin/web/d/index.json). Tiny Room Studios LLC is TRC's legal entity (/Users/gregspero/.claude/projects/-Users-gregspero/memory/project_veronia_hourly_transition.md:17). The companion repo README says "App in development to control grandMA3 in the live room" (/Users/gregspero/trc-lighting/lightdesk/README.md:2), the energy log puts the grandMA board and the Dell lighting computer in the Live Room (/Users/gregspero/trc-twin/data/systems/lighting.json, claim c:sy:lt-grandma-energy), and the staff training module is titled "Live Room lighting: grandMA3" (/Users/gregspero/trc-training/content/modules/M18-lighting.md:3).
Conclusion (UNVERIFIED inference, confidence moderate-high): "Tiny Room" is the company name used as the PC's user profile, and the rig is the Studio A Live Room stage. Strongest case against: a small room could carry that nickname in staff speech; no file says so. rooms.json keeps tiny-room as an alias of studio-a-live.
Studio A Live Room (studio-a-live)
Aliases: Live Room, The Stage, Performance Room (/Users/gregspero/trc-twin/web/d/index.json), Tiny Room (LightDesk repo). Status: PROVEN for patch, software and nodes; the lighting PC's current IP is not known.

Notes on the patch:
- The 2026-09-13 stage export (/Users/gregspero/trc-lighting/light-desk/data/patch.json, 319 objects) lacks the lekos, the two FRONT WASH heads and the hazer; the 2026-09-14 LivePatch walk adds them. The hazer is not patched in the Piano & Wine show (/Users/gregspero/trc-lighting/light-desk/PLAN-overnight-2026-09-12.md:282).
- Console group 6 BLINDERS lists 6101, 6104, 6107 but 6104 is not patched (/Users/gregspero/trc-lighting/light-desk/data/groups.json). A "BLINDER 2" may hang unpatched.
- The inventory lists Chauvet Intimidator Spot 360X x5, EVE TF-20 x8, Par 6 x4, Kismee x4, Kinta FX x2 (/Users/gregspero/trc-twin/data/systems/lighting.json, claim c:sy:lt-fixtures-inv). None of those models is in the console patch. They may be elsewhere, spare, or hung and unpatched.
- The building twin (2026-09-26) says "No DMX patch exists" (/Users/gregspero/trc-twin/data/systems/lighting.json known_unknowns). That is now out of date: the LightDesk repo holds the console patch.

Inventory switches NWK03/NWK06 TP-Link, NWK04 Ubiquiti, NWK05 Linksys, location "Desk". - Wall jacks: the 1995 and 2012 drawings show data outlets in most rooms (Live Room LR-D1/LR-D2, three in the Control Room, and others); none has been toned, and no jack-to-switch-port map exists (STATED,
network.jsoncrossrefs). - Room detection (UNVERIFIED inference): with one flat /24, a laptop cannot tell its room from its IP. Workable signals, in order: the switch port's LLDP neighbor name (if the UniFi switches send LLDP), a jack-to-port map exported from UniFi, or the presence of room devices (the Live Room NDI camera, the CR011R).

STANDALONE.md:60;PLAN-overnight-2026-09-12.md:280); Vince Pugliese was the lighting designer in 2024-2025 (07-history-mining.md:13); Steven is the lighting trainer (/Users/gregspero/.claude/projects/-Users-gregspero-claude-grid/memory/project_trc_staff_training_2026_09_26.md:39).
Secrets
None found in the lighting repos. The lighting laptop's login lives in the Live Room Lighting Designer Checklist (Drive doc) and was deliberately left out of the training module (M18-lighting.md:27-29); not copied here.
Open questions for someone standing in the building
- On the lighting PC, run
ipconfig /alland read the Wi-Fi IP, the Ethernet adapter's address, and the hostname. Is it still 192.168.1.86 andtinypc? - Look at the rig's 5-pin DMX cable: is it in Netron EN4 port 4, in the grandMA3 wing, or in the CR011R through an adapter?
- Open
http://169.254.20.48/from the lighting PC and photograph the Netron's port table (universe per port, sACN or Art-Net, input or output). - In UniFi: is there a fixed-IP reservation for MAC 02:4D:48:A8:01:3D (192.168.1.61) and for the lighting PC? Export the client list and the switch-port list with LLDP neighbors.
- Find the PoE switch that carries lighting. Photograph its label and note which port each lighting cable uses.
- Tone the Live Room wall jacks (LR-D1, LR-D2) and record which switch port each lands on and whether it gets a 192.168.1.x address.
- Walk the truss and compare the heads to the patch: 6 Mavericks, 4 R2X, 12 SlimPARs, 6 Colorbands, 2 Intimidator 260X, 6 Source Four LED, 2 blinders, 1 strip, 1 hazer. Is there a third blinder (console FID 6104, unpatched)? Where are the inventory's Intimidator 360X x5 and EVE TF-20 x8?
- Read the DMX address on each fixture's display and check it against the table above (the hazer should read 509, Mode 0).
- Does the LED strip's pixel data (universes 8 and 9) go anywhere, or is the strip only driven in its 5-channel mode at 1.504?
- Where is the Obsidian controller (inventory LC12) and is it connected to anything?
- Follow the DMX splitter mentioned in 2024: where it sits and how many outputs are in use.
- What does the Lutron bridge at 192.168.1.128 control? Open the Lutron app and list its rooms.
- Rehearsal Room, Mix Room, Recording Room, Podcast Room: are any room lights on DMX, Lutron or a wall dimmer? Photograph the small DMX/LED controller beside the Console panel seen in electrical handoff photo D.
- Which breaker is STAGE LIGHTS and where is its panel (Mic Closet per the Feb checklist, or elsewhere)?
